The fact that fewer guests visit the island, and therefore our exhibition, in winter than in summer is like a holiday destination.
Logically, we cannot afford the 56 hours a week that we are open in the high season during the darker months of the year.
Until now, we have been closed at weekends from the beginning of October to the end of April — and despite the economic necessity, we were never really satisfied with that.
After all, when are the locals supposed to come to Prora if they live for and from tourism seven days a week in summer and the sights are closed in winter?
So we are simply changing this and making it possible for people who don’t have time during the week to visit the PRORA-ZENTRUM at least on Saturdays. Instead, our doors will be closed on Mondays (as is customary in the industry).
New opening hours until April: Tuesday to Saturday 10 am — 4 pm!
This is just one of several changes we have planned for the future. More will be gradually introduced on the homepage and our social media.
