Several hundred prisoners from the Weimar/Buchenwald concentration camp were transferred in 1944/45 to perform forced labor in the former underground potash mine in Billroda.
The speaker, Andreas Ilse, will present the results of his research, which began by chance and has now been going on for several years, on Friday, July 2, 2021, at 7:00 pm. Regional research, which PRORA-CENTER also regularly conducts, often provides many insights into overall historical contexts.

PRORA-CENTER has set up an open tent on its outdoor grounds to offer events and lectures even under pandemic conditions. Admission is free. All interested parties are cordially invited to listen to the speaker’s remarks and to participate in the subsequent discussion.
